Road Infrastructure Exchange

The road infrastructure exchange (TLEX) is the central hub for all the traffic light communication. Because there is no local, direct communication with a iTLC, and road users are communicating via a servcie provider, the TLEX is taking care of the distribution of priority requests and position messages to the right and only iTLC. And takes care that thereis one access point for the service providers to obtain MAp and SPAT messsages for the geographic setup and light status of all iTLC.

In Mobilidata, the road infrastructure exchange is positioned behind the MI, as an information provider. This is a simplification for service providers, eliminating the need to talk over several service points.
